About

Sandra Fiquet started playing around with photography at the age of 11, when her mother lent her a small Instamatic camera.

Then at the age of 14, her father lent her his 35mm camera he used during his army days, which had a separate hand-held light meter using an analog needle on a scale.

A few years later, realising she enjoyed photography, she bought her own SLR camera.

It was all about using your eyes to really see, the magic of light and shadow, capturing an ephemeral instant in a box.
You didn’t really know what treasure you had until the negatives had been processed.

She hasn’t stopped snapping away since.

She is a Recognised Artist featured by Saatchi Art in their Abstract Photography collection.
